Why should I download the OhGodAnETHlargementPill utility?
The OhGodAnETHlargementPill utility is a tool that increases hash rate for GTX 1080, GTX 1080 TI and Titan XP for mining. This software improves mining performance on NVIDIA GPUs with GDDR5X memory and it also improves the hash rate of all coins based on Ethash.

What concerns the risks of using the utility, on the GeForce GTX1080, visual artifacts can be observed after launching OhGodAnETHlargementPill even at stock frequencies. If the monitor is connected to another video card, then this does not affect the stability of mining. In all other cases, overclocking is safe due to the fact that the changes are not permanent and are rolled back immediately after the program closes.
I have download OhGodAnETHlargementPill, how do I know if it is suitable for my graphics card?
GDDR5X memory operates at higher frequencies than regular GDDR5. However, along with the increase in frequency, timings also grow, delays in data transmission. Initially, 1080 and 1080ti were ineffective for mining Ether; their performance was the same as that of 1060 and 1070. Now thanks to the efforts of OhGodACompany, a solution has appeared – OhGodAnETHlargementPill.

The developers of the utility managed to use all the features of the GDDR5X memory and increase the mining hash by the Dagger Hashimoto algorithm by about 40 percent. The numbers are relevant for GTX-1080 and GTX-1080Ti cards. Initially The OhGodAnETHlargementPill application was developed for mining on the Dagger Hashimoto algorithm, but it can be useful for other algorithms as well. Crypto experts have tested GTX1080ti with the program on a Monero coin using the CryptoNight algorithm. They revealed the results of the hash rate that rose from 830H/s to 915H/s.
I downloaded the OhGodAnETHlargementPill tool, how do I use it?
It is important to remember when overclocking a video card or using software of this kind, not to forget about the safe limits, as their break increases the risk of damage to equipment. There are no special system requirements; OhGodAnETHlargementPill is compatible with both Windows and Linux. The main function of the utility is to increase the hash rate while mining on a single video card or a farm.

The program copes with the stated tasks perfectly; no errors are detected during operation, and the hash rate really grows to 53-54 mH / s. The OhGodAnETHlargementPill program works simultaneously with the miner. There are no special skills needed to use it and it is perfect for beginners. One should make the following steps:

- Download OhGodAnETHlargementPill the release and unpack the archive;
- Run the OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2 file with a tablet;
- Start the miner and observe the hash rate increase.
This tablet does not require a specific driver version. Just make sure you have the latest driver installed.
Estimated hash values with OhGodAnETHlargementPill are below:
- GTX1080 – was 20-25Mh / s – became 30-40Mh / s
- GTX1080ti – was 30-35Mh / s – became 45-55Mh / s
- Titan X, Titan Xp – was 31-36Mh / s – became 45-65Mh / s
If I have already downloaded the OhGodAnETHlargementPill utility, What is more profitable to mine on GTX-1080Ti?
With the OhGodAnETHlargementPill utility, the purpose of the 1080Ti graphics card is changing completely. It always used to be more practical to use them for mining on the Equihash algorithm, but now it has become very profitable to use the Dagger Hashimoto algorithm.
Ethereum ($ 2.76/day) on 1080Ti has become more profitable to mine than any Equihash currency: ZCash ($ 2.46/day), Zen ($ 2.67/day), and Hush ($ 2.52/day). Moreover, it is essential to note that when mining Ether on 1080Ti, the video card will heat less and consume less electricity. Consequently, the cost of electricity will fall, and the resource of the card will increase.
Installing OhGodAnETHlargementPill in HiveOS to increase ethash hashrate on 1080/1080Ti cards
You need to run the following command in the console of the rig, for this you need to connect to it via ssh, for example, using Putty. If there are any difficulties with this, then a wonderful thing called Teleconsole is built into HiveOS – use it.
First of all, let’s create a directory for placing the pill and go to it. To do this, run the following commands in the console:
cd /opt/
mkdir ./tabletka
cd ./tabletka/
Now let’s download the pill itself.
In order for it to start, you need to set a flag for it to allow the file to be launched as an executable:
chmod +x ./OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2
You can run:
./OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2
A message should appear stating that the pill is working and should be running all the time. Without closing the program and the console (if you logged in through the Teleconsole then without closing the browser tab), restart the miner (but do not restart the rig), if the miner did not start or the hash did not grow, then something went wrong and it makes no sense to follow the instructions further , just close the program (Ctrl+C in the console where it is running) and forget about it.
If everything worked, then do not forget that the hashrate will be increased only while this program is running. Those. when you close the console, the hashrate will drop again, so this launch is only for tests to make sure that it doesn’t break anything for you.
If everything is working properly, then you need to make sure that the pill starts when the rig is rebooted and works in the background. There are many options, but my suggestion is to use screen and run it from rc.local.
To do this, add 1 line to /etc/rc.local, you can use the nano editor:
nano /etc/rc.local
There we find at the very bottom the line exit 0 and ABOVE this line we enter the command:
/usr/bin/screen -A -m -d -S Tabletka /opt/tabletka/OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2
To save the edited file, press Ctrl+O and then to exit the nano editor, press Ctrl+X
Everything to start the pill, you can restart the entire rig, or just give the command to the console yourself:
screen -A -m -d -S Tabletka /opt/tabletka/OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2
Is it still relevant? Returning to ether mining, I vaguely remembered a tablet that helps on 1080ti. But if anyone has more experience with pills lately, I would appreciate it. Thanks,
Lots of malware disguised as Ethpill, so be careful
So, I recently started mining on my 1080 and had no problem running ohgod with overclocking for almost a week, and now it crashes no matter what. I tried to start the card completely underclocked but still crashed. Tried all the major fixes found on the internet, like switching to revision A, starting after mining startup, etc. Installed the old drivers, launched by ohgod from the nicehash miner and standalone, which needs to be opened manually. I even ran my video through igpu and not directly from the graphics card and it kept crashing anyway. At this point, I feel like I've run out of all possible options and really want ohgod to work as it has dramatically increased my hashrate. Are you guys still running ohgod on your gtx 1080? Any solutions for the crashes?
You probably have rev A memory type. For this there is a command in "read me". I'm not sure how to run this for NH, you might have to start it manually. ETA: "## TROUBLESHOOTING Is your ETHlargement not performing as expected? You are probably using an older memory revision. Here at OhGodACompany we believe in promoting healthy lifestyles in the mining industry - so we have a solution for our senior users too! With --revA you can specify which device should be powered by our older solution. If GPUs 0, 3, and 4, for example, are not the young hairpins you were thinking of, feed them with the following commands: Windows: OhGodAnETHlargementPill.exe --revA 0,3,4 Powershell :. \ OhGodAnETHlargementPill.exe --revA 0,3,4 Linux: ./OhGodAnETHlargementPill --revA 0,3,4 "
Yes, I tried running this command too, but I still have problems with it crashing. Also the card worked fine for a week without any commands or anything else. I just don't understand how now out of nowhere it just starts to crumble.
Try using the advanced launch options -straps 1 for Phoenix instead. If stable, try increasing to -straps 2, etc. And see what gives the highest hash rate, then adjust overclocking.
Buddy it worked I tried -straps 1 first and it gave me a modest increase to 25 MH / s. Then I tried -straps 2 and I get 30 MH / s, just like with OhGod, but it doesn't crash and is stable. As a brother, I've been at this for a few days, losing my mind and you've fixed it, hopefully this thread shows up in google search when someone looks, OhGod crashes because no one has thought of this solution yet, or at least at least I don’t know 'haven’t seen yet. thanks a lot
